# Munawar Khel > Munawar Khel is a Lead Product UI/UX Designer based in Karachi, Pakistan. 20 years designing enterprise, logistics and field service software, 251+ products and platforms shipped. I started in 2006 running the website for Karachi's largest internet provider. Since then I have shipped 250+ products across 25 domains, and somewhere in the middle I stopped making software look better and started deciding how it works. The through line is enterprise SaaS people use all day: logistics, field service management, and now AI-native products. At Envase Technologies I owned the design of the TMS and the driver mobile app that were central to its US$230 million acquisition by WiseTech Global in January 2023. I spent the three years after that at WiseTech as sole designer on five CargoWise Landside products used by 17,000+ logistics organisations in 200+ countries, and at Astreya I designed a 22-module platform coordinating a 1,500+ person workforce across 500+ buildings. Today I lead design across six field service platforms at Teamfront, and independently I build as well as design: Bluedash went from Figma to a running fifteen-module application and a 126-component design system in ten days. ## Work with me - Open to remote, hybrid, on-site, contract, and relocation opportunities globally. - Based in Karachi, Pakistan. - Type: Full-time, Contract, Consulting - Notice Period: Available immediately - [Contact](https://munawarkhel.com/contact/): munawarkhel@gmail.com - [About him](https://munawarkhel.com/about/) - [All work](https://munawarkhel.com/work/) - [LinkedIn](https://linkedin.com/in/munawarkhel) - [Dribbble](https://dribbble.com/munawarkhel) ## Resume - [Resume, designed PDF](https://munawarkhel.com/generated/munawar-khel-designed.pdf): updated 2026-09-14 - [Resume, plain text friendly PDF](https://munawarkhel.com/generated/munawar-khel.pdf): updated 2026-09-22 ## Thoughts His writing on product design, enterprise software and designing with AI, newest first. Each link is the full piece as markdown. - [You can use AI. So can your client.](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/so-can-your-client/index.md): October 2026. Every few weeks someone tells me, kindly, that they can design now too. " Good for you. Genuinely, I mean it. So can I do your job using just AI? - [Congratulations, your CEO is now the designer](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/role-collapse/index.md): September 2026. Congratulations, your CEO is now the designer. Also the devops engineer, the support desk, the copywriter and, on a good week, the brand team. Nobody got fired. - [Your clickable prototype is already late](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/running-not-prototype/index.md): September 2026. This year's hiring advice for designers: retire the static case study, show clickable prototypes and video walkthroughs instead. Solid advice. It would have been ahead of the curve a few years ago. - [Twice is too late](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/design-system-never-invent/index.md): September 2026. A new report says half of surveyed designers shipped AI-generated code to production this year. The comments split neatly into two camps: "designers are engineers now" and "the sky is falling". - [You bought a suite. You got six apps.](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/fsm-consolidation-interface/index.md): August 2026. Private equity spent the last eighteen months buying field service software. Vertical SaaS ran 46 to 54 percent of all SaaS M&A between January 2025 and May 2026. - [It looks fine. That's the problem.](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/ai-without-thinking/index.md): August 2026. Every other post in my feed this month is someone who built an entire SaaS over a weekend with one prompt. Congratulations to all of them. - [The model was never the bottleneck](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/ai-readable-design-system/index.md): August 2026. Every week someone announces that AI can now generate your entire design system, and every week the comments argue about which model does it best. - [A paper form on a phone is still a paper form](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/paper-form-on-a-phone/index.md): August 2026. The US home care industry is worth over $100 billion, and a surprising amount of it still runs on spreadsheets, phone calls and paper. - [A better feed is still a feed](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/better-feed/index.md): August 2026. Most of my portfolio is trucks, dispatch boards and enterprise tables. - [I used to push pixels. Now I push back.](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/career-reflection/index.md): August 2026. Twenty years ago I was pushing pixels for whoever paid the invoice. Today I get paid to have opinions, which my younger self would have found both suspicious and deeply unfair. - [Nobody hands their fleet to a black box](https://munawarkhel.com/thoughts/legacy-to-ai-modernization/index.md): August 2026. Every pitch for AI in logistics has the same slide: the one where the dispatchers vanish and the trucks route themselves. It is a lovely slide. Nobody who has ever run a fleet believes it. ## Case studies Grouped by company, newest company first.
