Pitch, not delivered.

Mühl organises home renovation and trade work.

- Company: Day One Technologies
- Timeline: November 2017 – April 2022
- Platform: Mobile (iOS)
- Category: Home services, construction, two-sided marketplace
- Status: Pitch, not delivered
- Tools: Framer

## The proposition

Mühl organises home renovation and trade work. Notably the pitch is not purely consumer-side: alongside browsing and booking it includes **tooling for the service provider**, with flows to create a service listing, set an hourly rate, categorise the work, attach images, and manage offers. That makes it a two-sided marketplace pitch rather than a booking app.

The consumer framing leans on mental load rather than logistics: "Organize it all with Mühl. Regain clarity and calmness by getting all those tasks out of your head and onto your to-do list", supported by "Make it ease your construction services".

## Design direction

Three genuinely distinct options were produced, which is the main story of this pitch:

- **Direction 1**, warm amber and yellow ground, a blue circular logo mark, and soft 3D-rendered props. Home greets the user by name over a My Services tile with a live count and a Recently Created list.
- **Direction 2**, white and clean, photographic rather than illustrated, leading with a tradesperson in a hard hat and the question "what service do you need?". Services appear as an icon row above photo-thumbnail offer cards.
- **Direction 3**, a strong blue brand with flat vector illustration of decorators at work, a red circular floating action button, and yellow and orange feature cards. The most graphic and brand-forward of the three.

## What was designed

- Splash, multi-step onboarding, and a sign-in route for returning users
- Home with personalised greeting, a My Services counter, and Recent or Recently Created service lists showing service type, measured quantity, product details, and hourly price
- **Create Service** form: service name, category chips (flooring, concreting, plumbing), hourly rate in euros, description, and image upload
- Service category browsing by icon
- Side menu and profile: My Details, Customer Info, Explore Products and Services, Settings, Manage Offers, Logout
- Device mockup presentation renders for two directions

## What it demonstrates

The clearest example in the set of **presenting multiple complete visual directions as a sales device**, three coherent options rather than variations on one. Also shows two-sided marketplace thinking, since the provider tooling is designed alongside the consumer experience.
