( The pitch )
The proposition
A recruitment website for an international business training institute operating since 1984. The proposition is career outcome rather than curriculum: "Your Fast-track to an International Business Career". The structural insight is that prospective students choose a city first, so the homepage is built around destination rather than around programme type, letting New York, London, and Bangkok each make their own pitch.
Design direction
Credible and institutional without feeling dated. A clean white header carries the heraldic crest and the founding year, establishing pedigree immediately. The hero splits: a warm documentary photograph of diverse students on the left, and on the right a stack of three destination panels using deep navy and violet duotone treatments of each city's landmarks, so the three programme tracks are visually equal and immediately comparable. Below, a soft neutral ground carries the news grid.
What was designed
- Header with the institutional crest, founding year, programme navigation split by city, an MBA fieldwork entry, contact, and social channels
- Split hero pairing an aspirational student photograph and headline with a primary learn-more action
- Three destination panels for New York, London, and Bangkok, each with a landmark treatment and a short positioning line pitching that city's distinct value
- Latest News grid of three dated article cards with photography, covering study-abroad trends, a student testimonial, and an alumni story, giving the site editorial credibility and a reason to return
What it demonstrates
Education marketing where the design has to sell a life decision, not a product. The city-first architecture is the key move: it reorganises the offer around how the audience actually chooses, and it lets one institution present three quite different experiences without diluting any of them. Also shows working respectfully inside an established institutional identity.
