The proposition
A self-service app for Al Ghurair Energy's B2B diesel customers. Rather than phoning in a fuel order and waiting blind, a customer places and tracks diesel orders in the app, with the headline feature being real-time tracking of delivery trucks on-route. The onboarding leads with exactly that promise, "Real-Time Tracking of Trucks", and the product wraps it in the operational surfaces a business account needs: orders, deliveries, invoices, and enquiries. Onboarding is deliberately gated. There is no open sign-up; a prospective account taps "New User? Send an Enquiry", which fits a B2B fuel supplier where accounts are provisioned rather than self-registered.
Design direction
Built on the Al Ghurair identity: a deep purple and magenta gradient, a gold diamond emblem, and the Arabic wordmark, with an Islamic geometric pattern watermarked into the splash. Two directions were presented. The home direction is card-led, a light dashboard of Orders, Delivery, Invoice, and Enquiry tiles above a Recent Orders list. The tracking direction is map-led, a live map plotting truck positions across real Dubai streets with a pull-up status timeline. That timeline is the most developed component, grouping a delivery into In Progress, Scheduled, and Locked states, each carrying Delivery No, Quantity, Balance to Deliver, and Task No with dates and times, so the app reads as an operational tool rather than a consumer tracker.
What was designed
- Splash, carrying the Al Ghurair Arabic wordmark and gold diamond emblem over the brand gradient, with a version stamp (1.0.7)
- Onboarding, leading on the real-time truck-tracking proposition with a paginated intro and a skip escape
- Login, a gated entry with username, password, and remember-me, routing new accounts to Send an Enquiry rather than open registration
- Home dashboard, an Orders, Delivery, Invoice, and Enquiry tile grid above a Recent Orders list with a View All route
- Order Track, a live map of truck positions across Dubai streets with a pull-up status timeline grouping In Progress, Scheduled, and Locked deliveries, each with Delivery No, Quantity, Balance to Deliver, and Task No
- Two full directions, supported by wireframes and a flow map, a deeper artifact set than a single-composite pitch
What it demonstrates
The strongest B2B logistics and commerce work in the pitch set: a gated enterprise onboarding model, a real-time map-tracking surface, and an operational status timeline built around delivery quantities and balances rather than a generic order status. Also shows bilingual and RTL brand handling through the Arabic wordmark and regional identity, and the pitch discipline of presenting two complete directions backed by wireframes and a flow.
