The proposition
Snimple reduces nutrition to hitting daily targets: "simple food targets", supported by "eating well is easy just by hitting your foods target". The differentiator is that a coach is present inside the plan. Rather than a separate inbox, the coach appears as a conversation over the user's daily schedule, opening with a question about their history, which positions the product as human-supported coaching rather than self-tracked logging.
Design direction
Bright and buoyant. A saturated blue-to-cyan gradient runs throughout, with oversized hero product photography as the signature device (an apple carried by a hot-air balloon on the onboarding screen). Content sits in translucent rounded cards over the gradient, and the coach's message arrives as a light bubble floating above the plan rather than replacing it, so the user never loses their day.
What was designed
- Splash with the Snimple wordmark and smiley mark
- Onboarding carousel carrying the food-targets proposition, with pagination and skip
- Daily plan home organised into three bands:
- Target, a recurring goal expressed as a weekly frequency with progress checks
- Today, timed actions such as meals and workouts with completion ticks
- Coming Up, scheduled sessions such as a personal-training appointment
- Coach conversation surfacing over the plan as a message bubble with an emoji reaction affordance and coach avatar, plus a notification badge on the coach cluster
- Five-item bottom navigation spanning home, targets, coach, messages, and community
- A separate dashboard direction explored alongside the main flow
What it demonstrates
Health and wellness UX where the interface has to hold both structured plan data and an ongoing human relationship. Layering coaching over a schedule, rather than separating them into different tabs, is the notable design decision here.
